about

This is the studio recorded version of "Two Wheels" written by Susan Hwang for Don Rauf's book, "SCHWINN: The Best Present Ever." It was submitted for the 2019 Accordion Babes Pin up Calendar! It features Ed Pastorini on piano and was recorded and produced by Charlie Nieland at Charlie Nieland Studios.

lyrics

We want to do it in summer skirts.
We want to do it until it hurts.
We want ride for six days straight
until someone hallucinates.

We want to jump and do more tricks
until we land wrong on the stick shift.
We want to hold it back so we can let it go.
We can't leave good enough alone.

We like food. We like sex.
We’ll take as much as we can get.
From the StingRay to the Corvette.
From the Debutante To the Starlet.

Let it have million names .
What it means is all the same.
Give it a diamond frame.
No matter how things seem to change
from the phantom to the cycle plane,
they’ll say you’re crazy,
but who needs to be sane when you have

Two wheels is how many you need.
Two wheels gives you all the speed.
Two wheels until you don’t feel the ground.
Two wheels for a girl's got to get around

Two wheels to feel the wind
in your hair, against your skin.
Two wheels for you to pedal and coast.
Two wheels to the unknown.

Two wheels to where you are.
Two wheels to where you want to be.
Two wheels to go as far as
Two wheels can take you to feel free.

What it means is all the same.
It’s obscene what you can obtain
without gasoline, started with the Drasine
the deliciousness of being,
every girl and boy’s christmas dream

Two wheels to where you are.
Two wheels to where you want to be.
Two wheels to go as far as
Two wheels can take you to feel free.

We started in January 2009 playing songs written in response to Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions. We haven't stopped since. We've written & performed songs inspired by everything from "On The Origin of Species" to Dr. Seuss to Raymond Carver. There are BBCs popping up nationwide now. Bushwick Book Club Seattle started in 2010 & is run by Geoff Larson. Our nerdy dare-devilry knows no bounds. ... more
