What you’ve seen, enough to split the planets
foundations and mechanics
Enough to make an infidel of Abraham
(But you don’t give a damn)
Finally at the surface we meet,
But you don’t speak
you are the depths I’ll never reach.
What you’ve seen
Makes abraham an infidel,
(you don't give one syllable)
Speak English,
You dead fish
Tell me secrets
How is it
I stand this close
to what I'll never know.
bones of millions of the drowned, dreams that will never play out, lives lost that will not be found; love we want but don't allow
when heads won't speak
give me give me a breeze. breeze. breeze. breeze
(whale solo)
Sail ho...

Do you ever feel like
Captain Ahab
Chasing an elusive
Whale
Around and around
The open ocean
Like a rabid dog
Chasing it’s tail
When the April Moon is new
Let Ahab beware Ahab
Beware thyself
My captain
When the April moon is new
Do you ever feel like
Ishmael
Just along the ride
With a crazy person at the helm
No sign of land in sight
Do you ever feel
Like Moby Dick
Leading an epic chase
The whole wide world of
Whales to chose from
Why’s everyone on your case
When the April Moon is new
Let Ahab beware Ahab
Beware thyself
My captain
When the April moon is new
The white whale
Is a mask
For the thing that
Mauls and mutilates
Letting us live on with half a heart
When the April Moon is new
Let Ahab beware Ahab
Beware thyself
My captain
When the April moon is new

My captain has a timber toe A stranger man I'd never know
I'd follow him to hell and back
But he keeps me up when he walks the deck!
Pull boys pull
O Deadly is my bright harpoon
Worth its weight in gold doubloons Forged with blood and razor blades
The devil himself won't get away!
Pull boys pull my babies
Snap your spines in two and twenty
Devil may care that's just as well
Pull for the back of the great white whale
Pull boys pull
A crew of mongrel renegades
Of cannibals and castaways
We work the waves without a care
The jaws of death are an easy chair!
Pull boys pull
When bunking with a cannibal
You’d better hope he’s had his fill
Make sure your hammock’s tightly wrapped
Or he might take a finger for a midnight snack!
Pull boys pull my babies
Burst your lungs for a cask of brandy
Tell-tale compass points straight to hell
Pull for the back of the great white whale
Pull boys pull
Now Jonah was a wicked man
Swallowed by Leviathan
Imagine our first mate's surprise
To find the old man still inside
Pull boys pull
I leave a white and turbid wake
My destiny's my worst mistake
Damned and doomed I have no doubt
I'm gnawed within and scorched without!
Pull boys pull my babies
Are you fast or are you loose fish
Watch for the spout & the mighty tail
Pull for the back of the great white whale
Pull boys pull
A whaleman’s life is a fragile thing
His death knell all too often rings
It’s three years since I’ve walked dry land
So you can read by whale oil lamp!
Pull boys pull
O strength and patience, cash and time
Don’t get tangled in the line
Or drat the file and drat the bone
You’re going down to Davy Jones!
Pull boys pull
Of teeth tiered sharks, O tell me not
Where navies rust and anchors rot
I'd be at home in Noah's flood
Salty water's In my Blood!
Pull boys pull my babies
Clinched to desks and nailed to benches
Take to the ocean and trim the sail
Pull for the back of the great white whale
Pull boys pull my babies
Keep your weather eye wide open
Sing out hearties without fail
Pull for the back of the great white whale

Ignorance is the parent of fear.
And being completely confounded & nonplussed by the stranger,
I now confess I was as much afraid of him as if it were the devil himself, broken into my room in the dead of night.
And as I Iive, his entire body was covered with these same dark squares, same as his face, his back too,
These same dark squares.
He seemed to have been in a thirty year war, and just escaped from it with a sticking, plaster shirt.
Still more, his very legs, the same marks.
It was as if a parcel of dark green frogs were running up the trunks of great palms.
It was now quite plain that he must be some abominable savage or shipped aboard,
shipped aboard whale man from the South seas
and so landed in this Christian country
I quaked to think of it, a peddler of heads too.
Perhaps the heads of his own brothers, maybe he'll take a fancy to mine
Heavens look at that tomahawk.
And taking up the tomahawk from the table,
He examined the head of it.
And then holding it up to the light with his mouth at the handle,
He blew out a great cloud of tobacco smoke.
And then the light was extinguished and this wild cannibal sprang into bed with me.
I sang out Angels Save Me
I sang out Angels Save Me
I sang out Angels Save Me
I sang out Angels Save Me
Don't be afraid, Queequeg here wouldn't harm a hair on your head.

I HEARD THOSE TWO WERE SAILING AWAY
I TOLD THEM MAYBE YOU SHOULDN’T DO IT
‘CAUSE IT’S BEEN TRIED BEFORE
LOVERS ALWAYS TRY TO SAIL THERE
SADLY RETURNING TO THESE SHORES
THEY WANT TO GET THERE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
I REMEMBER THAT SANDY MORNING IN THEIR EYES
THEY BELIEVED THEY WOULD MAKE IT
THAT THEY WOULD FIND A WAY
ALTHOUGH, IT’S UNCHARTED WATERS
ALTHOUGH, TIDES CHANGE EVERY DAY
I BELIEVED THEY’D GET THERE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THERE’S A LEGEND OF THE SEA
BUILD YOUR BOAT TOGETHER, THEY BOTH AGREED
I’VE WATCHED THEM STAY TOGETHER
THROUGH ALL KINDS OF WEATHER
THAT’S GOOD TRAINING FOR THE SEA
OH THOSE WATERS CAN BE ROUGH
BELIEVE ME I KNOW
I’VE BEEN TO SEA ENOUGH
ENOUGH, TO NEVER BE HURT AGAIN
ENOUGH, TO NEVER LEAVE THESE SHORES AGAIN
GUESS I’LL NEVER GET THERE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
BY NOW THEY’RE SAILING
INTO TRUE LOVE BAY
I’LL BET THAT THEY’RE SAILING
INTO TRUE LOVE BAY
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
THE PLACE WHERE LOVERS ARE
YEAH
